Revisited: One Church, Gloucester

A flexible approach to seating

One Church in Gloucester has long been a vital hub within the community. Serving its parishioners since 1924, it provides a lively and safe place to meet and hold events. While their previous seating arrangements were adequate, they felt it was time to provide something more comfortable for guests. The natural choice was to upgrade their metal framed stacking church chairs to something that would give more flexibility and usefulness.

Storage is king

As with a lot of venues, One Church didn't have a lot of spare space to play with. This meant they needed to think carefully about how any upgraded chairs would be stored. Their old metal framed stacking chairs were easy enough to put away but took up too much room. In addition, they could be seen as a potential hazard for any children in the church who fancied climbing on them.

Taking this into account, One Church decided that folding chairs with a storage trolley offered the best solution. This meant that the chairs would take up less valuable room when not in use and also allowed for the trolley to be wheeled away from little ones too.

Comfort and style

The metal framed chairs that One Church previously used had given almost 20 years of service. Despite this, the church organisers were on the lookout for new seating that gave a bit more comfort and padding. With this in mind, they opted for the Comfort Deluxe folding chair that had deeply padded backs and seats. This was a wise choice as it offered all the features they were looking for in one product. With a level of relaxation only usually associated with heavier chairs, they are a welcome addition to our range.

A flexible solution to One Church's needs

At One Church, they set out their seating at least once a week for two services. Obviously, if any extra events are on then they will set them out again also. This, together with the need to store them away once a week for cleaning purposes, meant they needed seating that was easy to handle.
